Obesity affects one in 10 adults
Obesity affects one in 10 adults around the world

One in 10 of the world's adults is obese, according to a joint UK-US study published in The Lancet

Imperial College London and Harvard researchers studied body mass index (BMI), cholesterol and high blood pressure data from 1980 to 2008.

High blood pressure and cholesterol fell in many developed countries while obesity generally rose worldwide.

1. So what will these people do if they can't afford food anymore?
The price of food is the highest on record. What will happen when the obese can't afford to overeat?

2. I presume most of the obese are Americans, so they will keep eating
and the non-obese overseas will starve.

3. Probably.
I bet most of the obese in the world are Mexicans, Americans, and the British. Those were the fattest countries last year.
