1. It seems as though they are retaining anybody who is getting the truth out there.
Losing battle, IMO. I hope.

Bureau chief of WaPo jailed, too. That's pretty high profile.

4. Twitter let the truth genie out of the bottle.
If TPTB throughout the world thought they could squelch people by shutting down communication, I do believe they were so very wrong. We wondered how it would look. Now we see; the truth still gets out, and once it does, the power of it has a snowball effect.

They can make it difficult to communicate with those outside the war zone, they can inflict great harm and even death, they can try to detain and harm journalists, bloggers, etc., to keep the truth at bay, but they can't hide such blatant corruption and torture any more.

The world is too big now; the truth gets out.

What is to be done with these truths, beyond what we currently see happening in the ME is another question entirely, but the truth is coming to light more and more. Thanks to Wikileaks, brilliant techie types, and the brave souls, they're all enabling such truths to be made available.

When done en masse such as via Twitter as we've seen this last week, the truth really does prevail.

5. I just pray (or my version of praying, anyway) that the hope stays alive and that
the draw strength from knowing how much of the world wants them to succeed, and that they're serving as inspiration to other oppressed citizens in the ME.
