American Entropy is increasing at an exponential rate...

and we are past the point of no return, heading into a hyperbolic curve away from rationality and sensibility. The paradoxes of America are legion: Fox News (fascist fearmongering) vs. Fox Entertainment (House, Simpsons, Family Guy - all of which 'undermine' the 'sanctity' of the RW meme.) to name just one - a "perpetual motion machine for the idiots', it has been termed. But wait...there's much more, as has been discussed here frequently...

Oh yes, one more thing, mark my words: Boehner better not get too comfy: his rivals are going to start the insinuations about his sobriety and his sanity rather quickly. The Rethugs go thru a lot of Majority Leaders and Speakers once the flywheel gets moving. Ask Speaker Gingrich and those who quickly followed...

1. Very insightful post written in wonderfully concise prose.
If I may add my idea along with yours, "Earth Entropy is increasing at an exponential rate" and largely due to human influences, the same influences that make you initial statement true.

I had a thought this morning that might need lots of development. It is: perhaps the prime instruction inherent to all existing things is to dominate as much as possible. That could apply to fishermen catching all the fish they can, businesses making as much money as possible, plants covering as much territory possible, cold temperatures removing as many therms from warm things as possible, and finally, gravity re-capturing everything possible.

If my idea has any merit, it would mean that as far as human knowledge goes, "black holes" may be the ultimate winner of the power struggle as the last and largest black hole captures all with resulting in a total collaps of the Univers, followed by as yet another "Big Bang". Then it all starts over.

If, by chance, my theory is correct, what good would it do humans to realize that?

2. I agree but Boehner is still better than the alternative
Eric Cantor has been groomed and positioned for the job. The media is subtly and slowly but surely whittling away at Boehner's credibility. The media can make or break anyone and Boehner is in the cross hairs. I personally believe if Cantor gets the job the USA will be in much bigger trouble and we'll be at war with Iran.

3. Ever notice that Eric Cantor has a lot of the mannerisms of Stephen Colbert?

Or is it the other way round?

Colbert may have started out as a "take" on Bill O'Reilly, but I think he's now closer to Eric Cantor.
