Scalia and Thomas have almost never attended the SOTU in the past 15 years, including chimpy's SOTUs. Alito skipped it this year. Its nothing new or shocking. Justices Stevens and Souter regularly skipped it as well and Ginsburg missed the SOTUs for the a number of years in a row as well. Kennedy has missed around half of them the past 15 years.
