Take that Favre! Packers advance to the Super Bowl
Edited on Sun Jan-23-11 06:28 PM by aaaaaa5a
The Packers have defeated the Bears 21-14. They win the NFC Conference championship and will play in the Super Bowl.

I wonder what Brett Favre is thinking right now?

1. Even though most of us here in WI were probably sick of hearing about Favre
I reckon that he is happy about the Packers' good fortune.

5. Sorry. I live in a GOP district and State

A good public education isn't valued here.

But please, ask me about the 10 commandments.

10. Sorry, it was an attempted compound joke; I should have known better than to
try it here.

4. Cheeseheads need to get over Brett Favre.
Edited on Sun Jan-23-11 06:29 PM by Lucian
He hasn't been a cheesehead since 2008. It's 2011 now. Time to move on.

15. Cheeseheads are long over Favre, we're just sick of hearing about him.
But since he kept coming out of retirement so he could get to another Super Bowl there is a natural sense of irony about the Packers going to it in his last year.

6. Favre should have stayed out after
the first time he retired. His life has taken a turn for the worse in the past 3 years. I'm glad to see that the Packers are still going strong.

17. He was pretty close to the SB last year.
If Childress had been fired much earlier like he should have been, we wouldn't have had that shitty play calling and perhaps would have been in the SB. Don't think that's really a turn for the worse. Point taken on this year.

7. Very nice team effort by the Packers.
Getting to the Super Bowl takes more than a good QB.

Wonder what the totals will be now that more alleged victims are coming forth?

9. That was a terribly officiated game
The first two packer touch downs should not have been touch downs

12. That maybe but
that doesn't make that fact that the refs had a clear biased toward Green Bay any less true.

This isn't the first thread tonight I've seen your handiwork - dropping insults as though from a Pez dispenser.

16. You do remember that Favre wanted back on the Packers
and they told him no, right?

It's amazing how many Packer fans forget that little tidbit. I'm not complaining about that decision. They needed to move on and Rogers is a good QB, but Favre didn't leave flipping the bird. He wanted back and the Packers said no.

18. When I saw the Packers beating my Eagles in game 1 this season,
they impressed me as being a great team and I have been thinking they would get into the SB all year.
They deserve it and I hope they win it.
