ET: Democrat Ron Barber has won a
special House election in southern
Arizona to finish the term of former
Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, The
Associated Press projected.
Giffords, who was critically injured in
a Jan. 2011 event in her district,
resigned earlier this year.
A former aide to Giffords, Barber,
who was also injured in the attack
outside a supermarket that left six
dead and 12 others injured, faced a
challenge from Jesse Kelly, a
Republican who narrowly lost to
Giffords in the 2010 midterm
elections.

1. So now will the media talking point be
Obama will easily carry Arizona.
or
Is Romney in trouble in red state?

I mean, the media seems to blow with the breeze instead of doing real analysis

2. The importance isn't so much in Barber's victory.
It's the horrible defeat that a loss of the seat would have been, mostly in morale.

3. Isn't JesseTaylor the vile carbon life form who held a fundraiser
featuring a gun event with former Rep. Giffords as a target prior to her being shot? Then he mentioned that she wasn't a hero in the minds of most people? Hit the clue X 4...a woman who survives being shot in the head, and is still trying to recover is a prominent person, if not a hero in the minds of people around the country, if not just in AZ. My recovering republican mother asks me about Gabby's condition rather often.

As I heard a woman from AZ state on a talk radio program 2-3 days ago, 'Jesse Taylor has been given permission to go sit in the corner and stop talking. Just shut up'.

I can agree with that and I wish former Rep. Giffords continued recovery. As a democrat she was a little too right wing for me, but just dayuuummn.
