According to the Hoover Institute...
You mean a think tank named for one of our country's worst presidents?

Every time someone shows me something from them or tells me they're with the Hoover Institute that's my dismissive response

1. Hoover, damn!
http://hooverdamtourcompany.com/hoover.html

The spin is that Hoover was very compassionate. He simply seems as though he wasn't because he thought Americans would help each other.

In fact, many Americans did help each other, sharing what little they had with those who seemed even worse off. But it just was not enough. It never is.
