What is it with political comentators?
They seem to have two modes, anger or grinning. Sometimes, they seem furious.

Sometimes, they say everything with a huge grin. Everything political is not a joke. Politicians control a lot of our lives, whether we realize it or not.

What's wrong with dispassionate, intelligent discussion?

I do watch many PBS programs, like the evening news and Washington Week, but PBS devotes only certain times to current political events.

Also, I am not my only concern. I worry about the effect on the public of the anger and the smirky snarking. I don't think either promotes good things for the country.

3. There's always the New Hour...
...and let's not pretend CNN and MSNBC do wall-to-wall news. CNN runs all kinds of junk and MSNBC has prison weekend.

The public is jaded. x(

5. The News Hour is what I meant when I referred to watching evening news on PBS.

We seem to be going round a circle.

4. Are you still watching Morning Joe?
Teasing, but a little more context would be nice.

I don't watch MTP, or the crap on CNN on the weekends, and I'm not sure which political commentators about whom you're referring.

6. I am referring to most of the pundits, anchors, strategists, etc. whom I
hear on political discussion shows, Too many to name, really.

Haven't you noticed either anger, on the one hand, or, on the other hand, smirking and snarking, as though politics is all some kind of joke?

7. Perhaps we watch different programs, but I notice, on the rare
occasions that I watch CNN during the day or MSNBC during the day that the right wingers are totally out of sorts.

I've had conversations with people locally who don't seem to get that politics affects them at every level.
