Frank Taaffe, neighbor of Zimmerman's father, is a damned liar.
Frank Taffe lived in the same complex as Zimmerman's father and both he and shooter Zimmerman performed neighborhood watch duties

CBS News) SANFORD, Florida --

March 23, 2012 6:56 PM

Friend of Martin shooter: I'd do the same thing

By
Mark Strassmann

<snip>

"Yes. I would do the same thing," said Taaffe.

Like Zimmerman, Taaffe owns a .9-mm weapon. But when he goes on patrol, he said, he leaves it at home because he believes that outside the home, using lethal force has no place. That said, remember, Zimmerman had a concealed weapon's permit whereas Taaffe does not.

Gee, Mr. Taafe, if you say that you believe that, outside the home, lethal force has no place and believe that so much that you do not even carry your weapon when on neighborhood watch, how in hell can you also say you would have done the same thing as Zimmerman?

One of those things has be a damned lie, doesn't it?

1. Is this they guy that Zimmerman's voicemail to him has been
played repeatedly today?

Yes, he has a conflict in his thinking, or as you put it a damned liar, and I'm good with a damned liar.

I've seen in the ticker at the bottom of the TV machine today that Zimmerman's lawyer has stated that 'stand your ground' doesn't apply in the case of his client. Really and :wtf:

2. I missed that about the voicemail.
I haven't had TV on much today except to watch a movie...could you explain?

BTW I was talking to the neighbor tonight that we consider the only one even remotely progressive minded in our neighborhood. He wants to give Zimmerman all benefits of the doubt. I said the kid was unarmed, what else do you want to know? He kept on making excuses for Zimmerman. I knew to keep my mouth shut around here on all topics political, but I figured with him it was safe to bring this case up. It wasn't. It's lonely around here having to keep one's mouth shut all the time rather than argue with closed minds.

Try this http://www.theroot.com/george-zimmerman-voicemails-call

And I'll keep looking around for the audio.

I hate to say it, but when I read about what Zimmerman's neighbors were saying about him, I was thinking...if someone asked some of my neighbors, and his relatives, if he's abusive to his wife, they and even her friends would probably say no. I think that my Mom thought that I was exaggerating, until she heard it approx. 5 yrs. ago when she was here to pick up some perennials that I had potted for her.

It was so loud and so abusive that Mom asked me after 15 mins. "how long is he gonna keep this up." Me.."he's just getting started."

We kept chatting and after about 45 mins. my Mom stated, "Okay, if he yells and screams at her like that, my guess is that he probably hits her, too." "Why in the hell does she put up with that?"

Me: "Cause he claims to be a Gawd fearing republican, just like her friends, and it is her duty to put up with that abuse don't ya know."

Mom: "Something's changed in the churches that I've attended and maybe I'm glad that I stopped attending." for Mom.

5. He means that he would have "shot a negro" if presented with an excuse and opportunity, perhaps

So I guess his statement is quite consistent. Why else assume the kid was up to no good?

7. He does not believe that his weapon has any place on his neighborhood watch rounds.
Ergo, he would not have done the same thing.
