Recession 'to return' to Europe, say economists
Source: BBC

The vast majority of leading economists polled by the BBC believe recession will return to Europe next year.

One fifth said the eurozone would not exist in its current 17-member form, while the majority put the possibility of a eurozone break-up at 30%-40%.

The poll also found that most economists expect UK interest rates to remain at 0.5% throughout next year. <snip>

Politicians have attempted to resolve the crisis, including an agreement to forge closer ties between EU members, but markets have yet to be convinced the measures they have taken are sufficient.

1. Isn't funny how these recessions "return" before anyone notices they left?

2. As funny as the 'unexpected' and 'surprising' economic statistics
that they constantly fudge and spin -until they can't.

3. Off Topic: But thanks dbt for all your work in "LBN" Forum. Incredible Reads..
If you've been over to the "other site" there's nothing to compare with what you've done here.

4. Many of us close to retirement...are wondering if anything we contributed to
in the "suck up years" will ever pay us back. The whole damned world is pulling back. What does that say for ALL of US going forward?

We all depend on each other..the young, old, and the little ones coming up and those "in-between." If nothing is healthy our society is going to go into "pointing fingers and hating each other." It's already been started by the Christian Right, NeoCons and the "Powers that Be" in Banking and Military Industrial Complex.

We've got to ALL GET TOGETHER AND STOP THIS! (Rant Off) :-( But, we MUST WORK to CHANGE what's gone on before.
