Chris Hedges: impossible to tell more truths better and in less time

Since I live under a rock, Chris Hedges was completely off my radar, but I can’t remember hearing more truths in 27 minutes in my whole life than those contained in this video. I find it especially interesting that a graduate of Harvard Divinity School should be a war correspondent. To have been good enough at it to become a bureau chief of the New York Times and then get canned for denouncing the invasion of Iraq is to have achieved a rare perfection. He seems to me a worthy successor to Noam Chomsky (may he live a hundred years).

1. LinkTV recently aired a speech of his called "Calling All Rebels"
I couldn't turn it off. We need more people like Chris Hedges.

2. Chris Hedges is a god to me. He should be the beacon of light for the left.
I know that sounds sensational, but I dare anyone to find anything they don't agree with him on. He is at the heart of the OWS movement.

I apologize for having not read and viewed your post. I've got several other things going on right now. Multitasking can be exciting! :)

And do check out the Linktv schedule for more info on him. Or youtube, I suppose.

3. So glad you discovered
Chris Hedges....a wise man. I always stop and read his stuff. OWS made him cry. I really like the dude. Like Howard Zinn (RIP) and Chomsky and Naomi Wolf and Naomi Klein....must stop and read.

Hedges has some line from his heart to the center of the Universe....such Truths come from his mouth.

5. He is a very special person. Totally tuned in to the
good and evil of this world, and lazer sharp at fingering where the rot resides. He was moved to tears by OWS because he had all but given up on anything happening to begin the changes needed to start turning this badly limping ship around before it sinks completely.

Michael Moore also was in tears. That man put his whole life practically on the line to fight the Bush war machine. He never complained about it, but his life was threatened to the point where he had to have body guards.

After he made Capitalism, A Love Story, he said that if we didn't get up and start supporting him, he was going to stop doing what he was doing as he was tired of being putting himself and his family on the line, alone.

When OWS began, he finally saw what he had been hoping for and he helped get them attention every chance he could. And he was slammed for that also. We owe him a huge debt of gratitude for all he has done especially when it was really dangerous to speak out. He has a lot of guts, that's for sure.

All the good people are part of this movement. Hedges, Michael Moore and so many others. That's how you know you are on the right side, by the people are there with you.
