Ode to DU-2 and Welcome to DU-3. Thank you to everyone involved...

I've been a member of DU for about 10 years. I've seen many people come and go. I've met great people and looked on in amazement at how some people treated others. I've gone to Skinner and Elad with issues and have also contacted Mods about things I thought were wrong with their decisions (regarding posts that I had made).

Nearly every person here has been a fount of information. Every person has helped to open my eyes to think outside of my comfort zone. Some of you have actually helped to change my opinion on more than one occasion.

DU-2 has been like a home-away-from-home for me. It's a place where we could gather in The Lounge for a bit of fun and to laugh at LOLCats. General Discussion showed me things weren't always black and white in the world that we live in and that my way of thinking about certain things were definitely not the only way to look at them. The GLBT board gave me an extended family. The Vegan/Vegetarian board gave me some people who understood me (a job in and of itself) and the Atheist board people were very welcoming, too. When I got married last year the first people outside my direct family to know was my extended family at DU.

In short: You people of DU - Owners, moderators, members - have made a change in my life and I'm grateful for it. I believe that DU-3 will allow us to continue on the journey we've been on together and look forward to seeing you there so that I may continue my education!

5. I have still not been able to log in. I changed my password this

morning just so I was sure it was the correct on. They still come up with incorrect password. I think I will tell you all goodbye now just in case I never get in.

Once the final transition is done, the passwords that are here on old DU2 will work over at the new DU3.

If for some reason in the future, after the final transition, you can't get in over there all you'll have to do is email Skinner or one of the other admins and they'll get you in/
