a religious holiday and the other not, as well as other religions that don't believe in Christ.

I keep telling these people Happy Holidays is OLD but they don't want to believe me. I remember it going back to the 60s, but that song is even before my time.

13. Holiday = "Holy Day"

So, when someone says, "Happy Holidays," they are actually saying Happy Holy Days. If any religious nutter gets offended at being told "Happy Holy Days," well, there is little hope for them.
