Without teh internets?
Edited on Sat Dec-03-11 04:54 PM by HysteryDiagnosis
We would still have dozens of products we eat each day that still have high fructose corn syrup in them.... and the future rates of diabetes would be worse than what it is now. What else would we have to endure without the internets? One wonders.

1. I have now stopped buying
canned soup too. Glass jars to make a comeback.

2. Excellent.... the power to inform and protect, that is one of the many
properties of the internets.

3. Now the internets better damn well protect our access to alternative medicine
for all the people who are uninsured by design because they don't respond well to western allopathic medicine.

50 million people are uninsured. I'd guess many of them stay well by taking supplements as preventative medicine. People will suffer if this foolish legislation goes through.

4. Network television
and all their hideous new shows that are getting sillier and more repetitive as time goes on. Every show now is some forensic or crime drama or some silly sitcom that isn't even funny.

We would also be stuck with only the people around us in our own communities as far as communication/friendship go. That would suck beyond words for the ones like me, who live in a shitty hometown that is not worth even leaving home to visit. This town doesn't even allow women and children into the homeless shelter and the local churches are all ok with that. They are falling all over themselves trying to give more to the men's shelter even though the owner has said he has plenty of money already. God, I hate my hometown. If I was forced to only interact with the people in my own community, I would lose my will to live. Fuck this town. THAT is the biggest bad thing that would happen without the internet, in my mind.
