Poll question: How should Obama respond to this?
On Reverend Al's show, he reports that Newtie is calling on Obama to "repudiate" the 99% movement. What should be Obama's response to Newtie?

3. I don't think Obama should even give Newt the satisfaction of recognition.
As President Obama has been saying all along, we do not have a Republican candidate yet.

6. Who cares what Newt Gingrich thinks?
It's not like he's relevant. Does anyone other than Newt Gingrich HONESTLY think Gingrich is actually a viable candidate?

25. Of course he "should" have to say something.
Otherwise you wouldn't be able to get your gripe on. Wonder if there's any significance to you that more than 80% disagrees with you that he should have to say something?

Probably not.

27. Obama's style is not to engage in this kind of crap. I think we all know it will be ignored

Then Newt will make a more outrageous statement trying to get a reaction, and then again, and again. Until finally we will have a whole bunch of excellent sound bites to use in an ad next year (if he wins the nomination).

This is the pattern, I assume it will be followed once again.

28. He is trying to do what Mitt did when he lied about Obama giving a speech. He wants
to get into a dustup with Obama to get people thinking he will be the nominee and can take on Obama.
