Kill millions with poison and then... what?

They'd end up making the government even more repressive than they currently imagine it to be.

Even though these terror wannabes were of an advanced vintage, the basis of their plan is a carbon copy of more capable factions throughout the country. "Some people must die to save the constitution" is parroted in right wing circles daily. It's true that few go beyond the complaining and "what if" stages, but it's frightening that a minority of Americans are willing to resort to violence to bring the majority around to their way of thinking.

I imagine these seniors are among those who attended, at least in spirit, everyone of Glenn Beck's Tea Party rallies and listened to "The Great One" on the AM radio on their way to the Waffle House. Hopefully, seniors like this will have a case of "what did I come in this room for" moment before they can execute their plans.
