BUCKETLOADS of Yummy Scott Tenorman Tears! Freepers go APESHIT over Newt and the "A" word. BWAHAHAA!
The thread (and the reason Gingrich is now backpedaling on his remarks): "Gingrich 'prepared to take the heat' with talk of amnesty ("Let's be humane in enforcing the law")"

The reactions on RimJobCentral.com:

To: HiJinx; gubamyster; Liz; calcowgirl; stephenjohnbanker; DoughtyOne; BufordP; mkjessup; SandRat

...and this weasel is the best that the GOP can do?

“I'm prepared to take the heat in saying: Let's be humane in enforcing the law."

I seriously doubt that he has any idea of the magnitude of the heat he brought down on himself tonight.

I was on the fence, but now I can comfortably say adios to Newt. We don’t need any more “Compassionate Conservatives” bending over for the left; that’s what put us into this hole. I don’t know who will get my vote in the primary, but I know one who will not.

Oh BS, “control the border’ How long have both parties been saying this, yet it continues Keep on making exceptions based on selfish political purposes, and then once the point of no return is reached, then what

The borders could have been controlled decades ago. People here legally are still expected to obey the law, the paperwork, the timelines . . . yet people of all classes continue to game the system with border crossings, fake marriages and the like and the rest of us poor souls are just supposed to grin and bear it

Get out here, Newt, with the real world and see what it’s like to deal with this.

This will sure bury him. Will the Fox News folks be able to keep up the support like that . . . ? Obama would skewer him easily.

3. Simple, most of the 1%ers need their cheap undocumented labor,
they really don't want them 'Sent back" but they are afraid of the teabagger too. So, Newt just said out loud what his masters are thinking and saying privately.

13. He's posted a number of rambling screeds on that topic (tombstoning pro-Romney freepers)...
...hell, he's even done it when they're in the middle of one of their never-ending "freepathons" (fund drives).

But when you're RimJob, you can get away with that sort of thing.

9. Yep, I agree 100%.
It's going to be really, really interesting to see the "dramatic moment" when it actually gets down to Romney, and the "WE ARE SCREWN!" wailing and gnashing of teeth at F.R.

I remember when McCain became their shot at the White House. They HATE his ass, and it's largely over the "amnesty" stuff. They prefer the Cain solution, just electrifying anyone coming across the border. But VERY shortly after they went through their seven stages of grief, they arrived at "acceptance"...albeit a very TENTATIVE "acceptance"...and started peppering their posts with McCain-centric buzz words like "The Straight Talk Express."

Romney, I dunno...especially since RimJob BANS pro-Romney posters!

The other part of the equation will be Romney's running mate. Freepers have stopped talking about Cain. I don;t think anyone else in the current round of GOP debates would float their boat. Would he ask Palin to join him on the ticket? Would the GOP really roll the dice on Grifterella ridin' shotgun on TWO failed Presidential bids in a ROW?

Whatever happens in the months ahead, it AIN'T a-gonna be NEWT, but it WILL be fun. Especially that MOMENT when the first post goes up on F.R. announcing the fact that HE is their BOY.

:toast:

10. Of course not. He's lining up more people to pay him for his "expertise."
I think the only one who really "wants" is Romney. Maybe Bachmann too, because she has no concept how far in over her head she would be.

12. But he'd finally get to ride up front on Air Force One!
It'd be worth it to him to spend four years in a drunken stupor and then get the REALLY big bucks for non-lobbying lobbying.

17. This way, he'll get to say he was the front runner for President, but lost
because he was the most honest candidate.

And given that brief front runner status, he deserves even more money each time he speaks, or when he helps you lobby.

whomever GOP picks. Then they'll lie about it. Anyone who isn't Obama will get their vote.
