See my reply (#2). The problem is abuse of power. If too much power can accrue to any one person or group of people, we will have problems. But not everyone who holds power (represented by wealth, or political connection or whatever) abuses it.

2. I like this, but...

First, let me say I recommended this post. I do think there is value in identifying the worst perpetrators.

My "but" is that I do not believe the problems we face are due to bad people. There will always be bad people. The problems we face can only be addressed by systemic changes, i.e. changes in the law.
