I would suggest that AD Curley get another lawyer.
The lawyer that represents him now is beyond shrill. She is also spouting the finer points of the law. That will not fly with the public. Legally, he may have met the minimum requirements of the law.

We are well beyond that point. If those in charge cannot think on a moral and ethical plane, then they need to find another job which doesn't require such decisions. Blowing grass clippings off medians may fit their level.

There is a bright moral line that cannot be missed.
YOU DO NOT MESS WITH KIDS!!!
PERIOD!!!
ZERO TOLERANCE FOR SUCH BEHAVIOR!!!
ZERO TOLERANCE FOR NOT MOVING HEAVEN AND EARTH TO IMMEDIATELY TAKE CARE OF ANY KIDS WHO HAVE BEEN OR ARE AFFECTED!!!

ZERO!!!

1. Hey Grits, did you catch this?
The local DA in 2002 there had disappeared a while ago:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_Gricar

Ray Frank Gricar (pronounced /ˈɡriːkɑr/; born October 9, 1945, missing April 15, 2005, declared legally dead July 25, 2011) is a missing person from Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, United States. At the time of his disappearance on April 15, 2005, he was the district attorney of Centre County, a post he had held since 1985 and which he had been planning to retire from later that year.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Gricar received his Juris Doctor degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and began his career as a prosecutor for Cuyahoga County. He moved to State College, Pennsylvania c. 1980 and after a brief stint as an assistant district attorney, Gricar was elected district attorney of Centre County in 1985. He was re-elected four times before announcing that he would not run for re-election in the 2005 campaign.

Gricar was reported missing to authorities after failing to return home from a road trip. His car was found in Lewisburg with his cell phone inside, and his laptop computer was found in the adjacent Susquehanna River; other than that, very little trace of Gricar has been found. After being missing for over six years with no trace of his whereabouts, Centre County authorities declared Gricar legally dead on July 25, 2011.

In a town that small with such a big secret and such a big reputation to protect, anything could have happened. After all, it was a football coach from another town, who was told of an incident by one of the kids that called the cops and that started the GJ investigation. Love to know what was on Gricar's laptop.

I would say that this is not over. Not by a long shot.

4. I saw a teevee show about this on
DiscoveryID. It was way weird. He just vanished into thin air. Poof!

Now, I have to wonder why he didn't prosecute in 1998. Was he involved on some level or did he know too much?

I'll bet there will be people taking a hard look at Gricar from the PSU abuse angle now. That could open a whole new can of worms. Running out of cans, but the worms keep appearing.

2. There's no winning his case in the court of public opinion.
ZERO TOLERANCE is how everyone, save sick pervs, feel about this matter.

As they should.

He fucked up. He can't win with the public. The only thing he can do to save his ass is have his mouthpiece argue the finer points of law, and then skulk away if he can manage to dodge a bullet, legally speaking.

3. The Rule of Law: 1. If the facts are against you, argue the law...

2. If the law is against you, argue the facts.

3. If the facts and the law are against you, attack opposing counsel.
