A freeper conversation I had yesterday
This guy emails me his racist anti-Obama stuff almost daily. I keep reading it, just to see what the opposition is doing next. Usually, the most vile viral things that eventually get around, I get from him early on.

Anyway, he calls me to talk about three topics - Gloria "all commie red" and the conspiracy against Herb Cain, The Penn State fiasco (he's quite the college football fan, and prides himself on perfect knowledge) and why he thinks that Michelle Bachmann will be the eventual nominee.

As for Michelle, she is the only true christian (I guess he forgot about Santorum and Perry) especially compared to that liberal cult LSD's Romney. This guy hates the "LSD" church and hates romney. God hath spoken, ergo Michelle will win in the end, and beat Obama by a huge number. He told me he dreams of hordes of christian soldiers taking back their country on election day. LSD, I asked? Yeah, the LSD mormon cult, he answered. (if only I had known their communion rites earlier)

As for Penn State, he loves Paterno, and thinks the whole thing is overblown. Specifically, he said, "Since you are liberal, and support gay rights, what's wrong with a coach acting gay?" I told him these were kids, and were forced against their will. Then he asked, why did the Ohio States Attorney ignore this, if this was such a crime? Do you know what a great coach Paterno is, and has been? This is a witch hunt because Paterno is a well known conservative, and this is a war on conservatives. "You should blame the Ohio prosecutor for fucking this up."

I did not dare tell him that Pennsylvania was not part of the State of Ohio.

Then, he ripped on that "All Commie Red" who is attacking a fine man, a self made man, Herb Cain. Another liberal conspiracy, he claimed. (I swear, I could hear Limbaugh whispering in his ear.) I told him that the victim was a tea bagger, a GOPer, and extremely conservative. He denied that, because no self respecting republican would accuse another republican for financial benefit.

Sigh. The emails are bad enough. But the calls. My head hurts.

20. Good lord, why hold back.
I would be laughing my ass off directly at every fucking stupid mistake he made.

LSD? Really? LSD? You meant he stuff the hippies took? That stuff?

And not realizing which state that school was in (given that he is such a self proclaimed "expert"). I' would be laughing my ass off at him and begging him to stop it before I had to pee myself. Mock to fucker until he shuts up an stays that way. As an added bonus you would also be shut of his stupidity if you piss him off enough.

Is he a relative or something? Why put up with it otherwise? Why the kids gloves?

4. Ohio State's Attorney?!
I am also a college football fan and I am also relatively intelligent. At least smart enough to know the PENNSYLVANIA STATE University is in...Pennsylvania! And Ohio State University is in Ohio, University of Iowa is in Iowa, and so on. Ask him if he knows where Northwestern University is, or maybe Rutgers.
I am pretty sure that this whole Penn State thing will leave Paterno unscathed as the Pennsylvania State Attorney has already said that Paterno is not a target. So just tell your acquaintance to shut up and actually look at facts. Maybe pick up a newspaper or watch and listen to something other than faux. Of course, having dealt with people like that, I know that it's damn near impossible to reason with them.

5. It's a dirty job, but someone has to stay in touch with what the
enemy thinks (I use that term lightly).

My hat's off to you for putting up with it. I personally can't. It's gotten worse as I've gotten older, my ability to suffer fools gladly has diminished with age.

6. I'd strongly suggest changing Obama to Cain in any racist email and returning it.
Edited on Tue Nov-08-11 11:07 AM by denverbill
I have a few 'hilarious' Obama jokes from 'non-racists' back in 2008 which I'm sure they will find equally amusing when I sub in old Herman's name.

Oh and demand to see Cain's birth certificates, both of them, long and short. And if by chance they are ever produced, declare them forgeries and say he's not a citizen.

10. I have a better chance at winning at Lotto
But, hell, Perry and she have been elected and reelected. The pro-zygote rights establishment vote is too close to call (Even the catholic church is against it) And with a big enough tracking based earthquake, Pennsylvania may actually end up in Ohio. So, who knows?

8. I had the same problem.
One of my former bosses used to send me all this stupid bullshit (we're both retired in Florida now).

I finally got fed up with it, and told him to remove my e-mail address from his computer, and while he's at it, throw away my phone number. Haven't heard from him in almost two years now.

9. Get him to write this stuff down
When he's written it down, have him date it, initial it, and you keep it safe. Every month or every six weeks or so, remind him of some of his choicer pronouncements. He can't very well call his own words in his own hand a liberal conspiracy. Maybe, just maybe, his brain cells will flicker into life.

17. When he was in trouble, I represented him,
got him out of a tough spot that would have lost him his government job and pension. Never charged him a fee. Even so, you should hear him on the legal profession. Pure Coulter, O'Reilly and Limbaugh.

In some ways, he tries hard to be friendly and to be friends. He said several times, I live the golden life he admires (Making art, doing a job I love, having a great soulmate as a partner). But to say that he thinks Atilla is a fucking liberal would be an understatement. Glenn Beck is his other hero.

28. Ahhhh. It is a good feeling to do the right thing, isn't it?
We do the same thing at our medical practice.

We live and work in MN district 6, AKA the home district of gadfly, grifter, and idiot Michelle Bachmann. It almost goes without saying that this is a place crawling with freeper snowbillies. And many of them went ballistic when health care was being discussed and we publicly supported the idea of single payer.

And not a week goes by this year when one of them admits that we just might have kinda sorta been right about that. Usually this understanding comes AFTER their insurance company (and the invisible hand of the market dontcha know) has screwed them without lube.

So I guess that my sarcasm was a backhanded way of saying that we will be true to our values and professional ethics no matter who it helps. We will NOT pick and choose. All are welcome and all are served to the best of our ability. Sadly this is not the case everywhere.

Stay the course and know that this is one medical person who LOVES him some lawyer.

13. Who is this person, anyway? I think he's defending pedophilia too strongly.
Tell him to get to a shrink. He might have pedophile tendencies himself. Being a right winger, he's an amoral individual, so it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't see pedophilia as a big deal.

Why are you defending pedophilia so strongly? And then cock your head to the side and just look at him until he answers. Don't let him squirm or wiggle. Keep coming back to it.

26. I have two "freeper" types I correspond with regularly.
I know them through other associations. Our personal relations are amicable. Not so our written communications.

Sparing you all the details, you never get anywhere with these guys. The question I always ask myself is, why do I continue?

One thing is that they will have an answer for everything. Something they can believe in for that moment. And another, after you shoot that one down.
