A True Greek Tragedy - Odyssey of the EU
http://www.marketoracle.co.uk/Article31411.html

The cradle of democracy is under attack. The Inherent Autonomy of the human spirit is at stake. What was won at the Battle of Thermopylae, was lost in the banksters board rooms that control the EU. The fluidity of this definitive game of chicken, poses the beheading of the rooster and the scorching of all the hens. This journey into Land of the Lotus Eaters, not only needs to blind Polyphemus, but must destroy his New World Order father, Poseidon. The designed destruction of democratic authority is meant to eliminate any referendum on the EU despotism. The phony debt instruments caused the Greek default, that will soon spread the planetary misery, on the rest of us. Western civilization’s birth, owes homage to the Greek principle of individual autonomy. Its demise is a product of the inherent betrayal of humanity by the forces of financial exploitation, that exemplifies 1 Timothy 6:10, For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils.

Prime Minister George Papandreou’s gambit calling for a Greek referendum on the draconian EU extortion is proof positive that state sovereignty is dead. It failed because the EU cabal would not allow self-determination. Servicing the debt is the supreme dictate. The analogy of the arrogant and obnoxious Antinous wooing Penelope as a right of entitlement, applies. The righteous outrage of Odysseus’ arrow shot through the throat of all the EU suitors, also applies. Today’s script does not fit the noble triumphs of Homer’s epic. The banksters are more powerful than the intervention of Athena.

How quickly the defiant Greeks were put back in line. The video Greece To Let The People Vote On EU Bailout http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=3iyh8C0hclI turned into Greek Government Teeters, Lawmakers Urge PM to Resign. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=sTGjBVlx8V0

The Globe and Mail reports, http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/world/greece-backs-off-referendum-dealing-blow-to-euro-zone-equality/article2225004/?utm_medium=Feeds%3A%20RSS%2FAtom&utm_source=Home&utm_content=2225004 Greece backs off referendum, dealing blow to euro-zone equality, "In an effort to avoid a financial catastrophe, Europe’s leaders persuaded Athens late Thursday to back away from a referendum, but the result, which involved threats to expel Greece from the euro zone, has destroyed any sense of democratic solidarity uniting them."

3. TARP was the distraction (a mere 700 billion) whilst the Federal Reserve tossed over $17 trillion in
secret deals. The true total is probably northe of $25 trillion for the US, and another $15 to 20 trillion from other central banks globally, JUST for the 2008 crisis.

The people get to vote only on the pea and shell game's entrance fee, not the true theft.

Wall Street Aristocracy Got $1.2 Trillion in Secret Loans

Sen.Bernie Sanders -major statement on how the Fed looted $16 Trillion to bail out banks (many foreign)

The Fed Audit

The first top-to-bottom audit of the Federal Reserve uncovered eye-popping new details about how the U.S. provided a whopping $16 trillion in secret loans to bail out American and foreign banks and businesses during the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. An amendment by Sen. Bernie Sanders to the Wall Street reform law passed one year ago this week directed the Government Accountability Office to conduct the study. "As a result of this audit, we now know that the Federal Reserve provided more than $16 trillion in total financial assistance to some of the largest financial institutions and corporations in the United States and throughout the world," said Sanders. "This is a clear case of socialism for the rich and rugged, you're-on-your-own individualism for everyone else."

Among the investigation's key findings is that the Fed unilaterally provided trillions of dollars in financial assistance to foreign banks and corporations from South Korea to Scotland, according to the GAO report. "No agency of the United States government should be allowed to bailout a foreign bank or corporation without the direct approval of Congress and the president," Sanders said.

The non-partisan, investigative arm of Congress also determined that the Fed lacks a comprehensive system to deal with conflicts of interest, despite the serious potential for abuse. In fact, according to the report, the Fed provided conflict of interest waivers to employees and private contractors so they could keep investments in the same financial institutions and corporations that were given emergency loans.

For example, the CEO of JP Morgan Chase served on the New York Fed's board of directors at the same time that his bank received more than $390 billion in financial assistance from the Fed. Moreover, JP Morgan Chase served as one of the clearing banks for the Fed's emergency lending programs.

If this hasn't raised your blood pressure high enough, how about clicking over to the official GAO report which suggest that "...opportunities exist to strengthen polices and processes to manage emergency assistance..."

A nice way of explaining we've been screwed again by the privately controlled not really Federal Reserve and it's about the most disgusting account of financial raping and pillage as you'll find.

Yet, Congress, on the corporate dole, especially with the growing "throw the bastards out" cries increasing around the country, is unlikely to do anything more than weasel and waffle. But, come to think of it, why am I not surprised? Gold star for Sanders for being forthright..bit he's got 99 colleagues left to work on....

Now to see how the financial universe REALLY works, couple in this next story...

TARP and the Great Circular Reference

We're all supposed to be happy as hell that banks are paying back their TARP money, right? All the hype and hoopla about what a grand and glorious thing this is just won't stop. Except according to this article here, http://finance.yahoo.com/blogs/daniel-gross/banks-pay-back-tarp-funds-borrowing-treasury-205658852.html the way theses banks have paid back the 'right pocket' is by borrowing from the left!

You got it: Take TARP money, they borrow more money from the Fed, then pay back TARP (cue the spin machine to rerun Happy Days) and while the public attention is distracted, they borrow from el Fed and pretend the situation is fixed. Ah, the foxes are still in the hen house just the same. But, I repeat myself too much. We need some financial Charmin to clean such bs happy talk up..

Depressions are like enemas for the rich and it may be getting on time for one to clean up the malinvestment, now being papered over with promissory notes which indenture our children and their children, too....

My take is simple:

Number one, this IS NOT a complete top to bottom audit of the Fed. They are still sitting on at least another $50 trillion of toxic debts (accrued since the horrific dismantling of Glass-Steagall in 1999 and the odious Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000) that have been swapped out off-balance-sheet by the major global banks via T-bill and other instrument exchanges plus other off shore-schemes, dark pools, and secret parking funds.

Number two, you either stop the privately controlled Federal Reserve by nationalizing it and then destroy the rest of the systemic banking controllers' grips on any meaningful power, or they literally, quite literally, are going to kill you, in a thousand different ways, with a million different cuts of the blade.

2. Maybe Papendreou's intention was to expose

the scam that the EU has become. He must have known how powerful they are and that there was no way they would allow the THE PEOPLE to decide their own future. As one headline said, it would have been hard to describe the 'sheer horror' with which the 'leaders' greeted the suggestion to allow Democracy to decide the outcome. They know what happened when Iceland allowed the people to decide and are not about to allow that to happen again.

Last week, people around the world were cheering for his decision to allow Democracy to return to Greece, but not for long. But now, there is no more doubt that the EU is crushing the sovereignty of European countries. His decision made that crystal clear. So all those who have been denying it, what are they saying now?

Maybe that was the best he could do for his country, expose them. Merkel all but threatened war when he made that decision ... 'we cannot guarantee another 50 years of peace in Europe'. I am sure he was given the facts, either drop this idiotic idea of Democracy, accept the defeat of Greece for its own sake, or else!

Still, they are desperate, their grand scheme is falling apart and try as they have for almost a year now, to bail out their bosses, they just can't do it. How much longer can this go on before their whole house of cards collapses? Is Italy the next Greece?

Every last one of them should be removed from office and arrested and let some honest people take over the reigns and stop this charade of 'austerity/share the sacrifice, let's bail out the criminals again, nonsense. They are destroying the world. And now they are going to Russia for help, since China won't do it?

This is a tragic period in history. And still, not one of them has been held accountable.
