Colorado lawmakers plan legislation to create lottery ticket for veterans

Denver — Two Colorado lawmakers plan to introduce Legislation that would create a lottery ticket aimed at raising funds for veterans' services.

Republican Rep. Marsha Looper and Democratic Sen. Suzanne Williams will be speaking Saturday at the state Capitol about the Legislation they plan to introduce when the Legislature meets in January.

The bill would create a scratch ticket with all the proceeds going to the Veterans Assistance Grant Fund. The money would be used to create programs to help veterans with career counseling, mental health and temporary housing assistance.

Looper says tough budget times mean the state does not have enough funds to help veterans.

2. Ever notice they have to come up with reasons for a lotto that people would be sympathetic to?
Like children and education and veterans?

Fuck this lottery. Fuck all lotteries and fuck the greedy douchebags that come up with these schemes. Fuck them straight to spaghetti hell.

Here's an idea, why not help fully fund social services by cutting corporate welfare?

5. Since I know people who can do math and who still play the lottery,
it would be accurate to call it a tax on stupidity.
