14. Link for paper versions
http://forums.whyweprotest.net/threads/need-graphic-printable-guy-fawkes-mask.34051/. This thread has about 6.

Take your pick - complex origami, simple paper, less simple paper... The origami version, if printed on card stock and the front well shellacked, is exceedingly durable. It is both durable and extremely comfortable if printed on heavy cotton fabric and starch-stiffened during construction. (use white cotton twill, freezer paper and an ink-jet printer to print on fabric, then iron-on hem tape to bond the tabs.) The flat paper versions can be quickly printed, quickly cut and handed out. If printed on card stock and stapled to a Popsicle stick, they don't even need elastic.

The plastic version is licensed to Time-Warner, so buying a plastic one supports the very corporate interests that are part of the problem. Also, there are reports that the plastic ones can irritate the skin if worn for any length of time. (Remember 1980's Halloween costume masks? Same materials.)

2. Occupy Tacoma celebrates Guy Fawkes Day
One of our unemployed tech guys, set up the DVD player for us, connected us to audio, and we passed out blankets, popcorn and wore our masks. When we got too cold we all got up and jumped up and down until we got our blood moving again.

Warm regards from Occupation Park (we actually got our first mail delivery yesterday). Occupy Tacoma, area code 253, South 21st and Pacific Avenue. The screen is a monument commemorating the arrival of the Northern Pacific Railroad to the west coast. The end of the trail.

19. Guy Fawkes day is really anti-Guy Fawkes.
Guy Fawkes day celebrates the death of Guy Fawkes, who attacked the government. Most people seem to miss this point.

10. Guy Fawkes
Have any of these people looked up Guy Fawkes and seen that he was actually an asshole? It's starting to bother me now.

12. It's the notion that you can't kill an idea that is important
The man is just a mask.

Like corporate personhood is just a myth.

22. They're emulating V from V for Vendetta
The fact that HE chose to use a Guy Fawkes mask is irrelevant to the statement THEY are making - they are showing solidarity with the ideas of the film, not with those of the Gunpowder Plot conspirators.

"the people's theater".
folk should start projecting provocative films on public spaces everywhere.
this reminds me of a cross between batman's beam and banksy.

17. V for Vendetta was just a bad, libertarian-worshipping movie.
They should have shown something like "Matewan", which aptly describes the struggles and frustrations coal miners had with ruthless conservative bosses and their Pinkerton rent-a-cop hirelings.
