All of you DUers who poopoo every elected Democrat need to take note of these ladies and gentlemen. They are the type of politicians that made us want to be Democrats... proud to be Democrats.

8. I am disgusted with Rep. Peggy Krusick (D, Milwaukee) right
now as she is the one that tacked on the amendment last evening. Other Dems are livid that it was NOT discussed in committee (the bill itself was).

I was watching it last evening when this happened and it was an UPROAR. I watched for several hours but did not see her come to the floor. Maybe she did between 3-5 am or so when I dozed off.

12. The Republicans and Peggy the Dem have not debated the
issue as far as I know. Looks like a few came to the floor (Republicans) but they are not debating the issue which is what the Dems are talking about.

13. The Assembly Dems are filibustering as REpugs are NOT

"debating" in sense of having a rational discussion which is what the Dems want.

THAT's why the Fab 14 fled the state to avoid quorum. THAT's why this state is in disarray and the most divisive place in the country.

part is that the Democrat from Milwaukee of all people DID IT!

The other Assembly Democrats were and ARE Livid. You should have seen them last evening.

I am beyond words that a Democrat Rep. did this.

Two members of the Assembly's Democratic delegation read from the "I Have A Dream" speech, including Milwaukee Democratic Assemblywoman Elizabeth Coggs before Fitzgerald interrupted her.

Coggs: "...insofar as her citizens of color are concerned, instead of..."

Fitzgerald: "Lady from the 10th, what does this have to referral from the committee."

Coggs: "One of the colleagues on the opposite side had brought up Dr. King, and this has to do with referral to committee because..."

Fitzgerald: "Dr. King didn't make that motion."

Coggs: "I didn't say Dr. King made that motion. If Dr. King made that motion, we'd all be out of this room right now."

21. I will also ask. The WisDems
have keep lots of this close to their chest.

I went to the training session Sunday, just a few days ago and was told by the Dem Party organizer (He said he was paid by the Dem Party in Madison but his title for the recall was Committee to recall Walker field organizer).

Anyway, he told us that some of us would be collecting signitures for the recall of Terry Moulton--Republican from Chippewa Falls, WI!!

Now, I follow the blogs fairly closely and had NOT read anything about collecting sigs for him!! I know he was one of 4 Republican names that had been listed as possibilities (Milw Journal Sentinal) but not officially.

And I have NOT seen it mentioned on ANY of the Left blogs, nor the WisDem website nor in the news. I would have thought it would be BIG news!! But not a peep in the alternative press, nor in the main stream media.

What is going on?

24. Well, they are focusing of Moulton also in my area. About 25
signature collectors were in my room. It was overflowed and some had to meet up in another room. there was a training session on the past Thursday also.

We had an overflow. Kathleen Vinehout --one of Dem14 was there to rally us at the beginning.

28. As of a couple of weeks ago, there were plans to put Voter ID info in signature packets
There were plans to have a hand out detailing the specifics for everyone who signs a recall petition. I presume that's still the case.

I heard from Lena Taylor yesterday that three churches in the Milwaukee area will be taking busloads of people to the DMV for their free ID's.

I'm sure once the signatures are gathered and in the hands of the GAB, there will be similar pushes locally. Signatures and education are the focus now for local Dem orgs. There will be a 2-4 months gap between turning them in to the GAB and getting the election certified that will give us time to focus on getting voters prepared to go to the polls.

If we're lucky, there will be a restraining order in place preventing the implementation of the new ID rule while the courts look into it.

29. Nothing was said about that in my training session. In fact,
the Democratic (state) Party person who led the session, said he wanted us to carry two petitions only (one for Walker and one for Kleeficsh in Sen Kathleen Vinehout's district.

In Sen. Terry Moulton's (Republican, Chippewa Falls, WI-23red District) , he wanted one petition for Walker and one for Moulton.

In fact he said he did not want us out there with a lot of material.

umm....

32. Yeah, someone decided three petitions was too much to ask
I'm in Moulton's district. I think we'll carry three and ask anyway. I don't give a fig what the trainers think. Even if my rural area is heavily puke, I know the hardy Dems who live here won't stop at two.

31. I know. It wasn't mentioned at the training session I was at either.
But it was mentioned in a different meeting of the Dem party by people in the know.

I know of several local recall groups planning on doing it themselves if the DPW/UnitedWI don't come up with something.

Perhaps you should be planning on doing it locally as well, if for no other reason than as a backup.

I don't think signing two petitions and receiving a hand out is too complicated. If the trainer does, then someone should be having a chat with them.
