Rick Perry hit the trifecta this week with the nutjob Republican electorate
Expect a big boost in the polls with his...

-Coded birther talk...
-Out right to lifing Herman Cain
-and last but not least his 'love affair' with his gun

:eyes:

Hell, he may have just won the nomination :sarcasm:

1. Good ol' Dick signed a bill in Texas that allows voters to use their gun license...
...as an I.D. at the polls, but not their student I.D.

This man is such a throwback, it's hard to find words for him.

4. You have to fill out lots of paperwork to get a concealed gun liscense
The card looks like a driver's liscense and is issued by the state. Has all the pertinent info on it - address etc. My college ID has my name and pic. I didn't even show the admission office a receipt for tuition. I just told them I needed a Fall 2011 sticker for my ID and they handed it over. A Texas A&M branch - lol!

5. The point of that bill is to allow gun fans (more often Republican) to vote...
...but not students (more often Democratic) - Perry sucks!

6. Not true - shocked to hear my college classmates admit they
listen to Rush AND also own lots of guns.

My spouse is liberal and a gun nut. I love guns also. We are both college students. Of course this is Tx and we are veterans, so we like our weapons.

8. Maybe fewer voters will be disenfranchised in Texas then.

9. umm..
In texas you CAN NOT have a gun license without a Texas ID or Texas Drivers License. All 3 are good to use at the voting booth.
