I bet 10 cents you sense you're going to censure Allen West for calling to censor the media.

Does that make sense? Sure.

Allen West: 'I Meant Censure' The Press Over WikiLeaks, Not 'Censor'

Allen West, the Tea Party-backed congressman-elect who on Tuesday fielded heavy criticism for apparently suggesting that media outlets should be censored for running stories about WikiLeaks' disseminated information, responded Wednesday by claiming that he had actually called for "censure," and that people had misheard his original statement.

1. How convenient that the prick chose a word
that can so easily be transposed with an almost identical sounding word that means a completely different thing.

His history of support for all things hateful lead me to believe he did mean censor until his "advisors" told him that he was a fucking moron.

5. He's twitchy
for lack of a better word. It's not something I can put my finger on but he's one of those guys you see in public and you keep an eye on them just to make sure they don't do something really stupid.

I wouldn't doubt he'll do something really stupid before his term is up.

2. I love these RWers who likely call for English as official language
yet seemingly have no command of said language, whatsoever.

4. It's a good sign though, that the U.S. government has finally
received the message that they cannot censor Wikileaks without censoring all of the press. Too bad they ran their mouths before realizing that. Lieberman even going further and actually suggesting that the NYT be 'investigated'. I guess the world-wide criticism has finally caused them to think twice about what they were suggesting. Kudos to all who stood up for Freedom of the Press.

This idiot must have received a call and is now attempting to back off his clear call for censorship. We have idiots in elected positions in this country. People who clearly have zero respect for the Constitution they swore to defend and protect.
