This is why we need a funding mechanism for local public radio stations that does not involve Federal money, so they can stop freaking the hell out every time somebody expresses an opinion. Maybe the larger stations could "adopt" rural stations or something. I don't know.

To sum up: Lisa Simeone has been fired from "Soundprint" (but no word yet on "World of Opera") because she was on the October 2011 committee, which has coordinated with Occupy Washington and Stop the Machine. The producing station adamantly states that her participation violates ethics guidelines. I find that stance perplexing.
