SAN DIEGO: Police ask protesters to move
Posted: Thursday, October 13, 2011 7:56 pm

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego police are warning Wall Street protesters to remove their tents, tables and tarps from a downtown plaza before midnight or face being arrested.

Police said in a statement Thursday that they told organizers of "Occupy San Diego" that demonstrating at the Civic Center Plaza is in violation of a city code prohibiting the obstruction of public space or corridors.

Authorities say demonstrators are welcome to continue protesting but must remove the items or police will impound them and arrest people.

Organizers could not immediately be reached for comment ...
