"Joe the Plumber" is running for congress in Ohio
Every time you think that the peak of insanity has been reached, the world gets more insane.

"Joe the Plumber" has filed to run in Dennis Kucinich's district. (And due to redistricting, Kucinich also has a Democratic challenger.)

It's a heavily Democratic district, but given the way Republicans have rigged the voting system, could we actually end up with "Joe the Plumber" in congress?

At one point, it would have been impossible to imagine this ignorant, know-nothing man actually taking a seat in the United States congress. But times have changed. Look at the Tea Baggers who have actually made it there and are blocking every piece of sane legislation that would help Americans.

"Congressman Joe the Plumber." Kinda has a ring to it. Or is it a death knell?

1. Bet Joe has been a free market failure - but why not capitalize on your name recognition
and run for Congress with a taxpayer salary to promote the virtues of the free market? Other than being an asshole, what would Joe bring to Congress? His monkey wrench and pipe tape?

3. Why doesn't he just run for President?
Hell, he's almost as qualified as Sarah Palin, and just as qualified as Herman Cain.
