However, public opinion polls show that nearly 50 per cent of Americans believe that the seriousness of climate change is exaggerated.

1. Clearly, 50% of Americans are ignorant idiots.
Human caused global warming proceeds apace.

6. Yep.
I had to laugh at the "world of 2145" as portrayed on Fox's "Terra Nova"; try 2045!

4. I was watching a BBC 2003 documentary that said
the North Pole may be ice free in the summer by

2030

if we didn't do something about Global Warming.

Boy do things change fast

5. The anti-science brigade doesn't like this story
that's obvious by the unreccs. Sorry; climate change will smack the naysayers in the face, too.

7. Very sad how powerful professional multi-million dollar PR can be.
That it could overcome even visual evidence-- photos of glaciers' accelerated melting not just in Montana but everywhere.

9. Until people start changing their lives this will continue.
No one is going to do it for us. It's not about "doing". It's about "not doing". I have three neighbors. Turkey, Alaska, Scotland. Running all over the planet. Fuel use. I just bought a laptop.
