Hank Williams Jr. Likens Obama To Hitler. What's this guy still doing on Monday night football?
http://www.mediaite.com/tv/hank-williams-jr-compares-obama-to-hitler-in-uncomfortable-fox-and-friends-interview/

Country music singer Hank Williams Jr. compared President Obama to Adolph Hitler in an awkward interview Monday morning on Fox and Friends. Williams called the golf summit the president had with Speaker of the House John Boehner “one of the biggest political mistakes ever.” “It would be like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu, OK?”

2. I will always love the music of Hank Williams, both Sr and Jr
but someone needs to tell Sr that his son is a mush head.

3. If Junior weren't named after his Daddy, he's never have gotten a record deal.
Lame Lame Lame.

And funny how he mentions his daddy in almost every song. He knows what got him where he is.

12. I'm a fan of Hank III
Though I often wonder how he weighs on political issues, like most sons I doubt he follows in lockstep with the old man. It's that rockabilly rebel streak in him that prevents him from the superstar status his ancestors enjoyed.

He calls himself a "Hellbilly" and tells how his superstar dad took off when he was a baby and was raised by his mother:

If you want a treat, check out his hard edged music sometime.

4. Good sense and talent...
Sometimes skips generations. Hank Sr. was a man of the people... Hank Jr. is a waste of skin... Hank III is brilliant.

I've never had any use for Jr., but will always cherish the intelligence and musical genius of Sr. and III.

Jr. is a stupid fuck, no more, no less.

The best Hank III show, yet; and I've seen his band(s) 8 or 9 times.

He should get way more exposure than he does. The Hellbilly rebel in him precludes the Nashville stardom he deserves:

17. I couldn't agree more!
I love turning people on to his music. I've had an eclectic musical upbringing and Hank III covers a lot of it!

Thanks for the links!

15. Good to hear!
I hope to catch him many times again as well. I'm a metal head who grew up listening to Grandma's bluegrass and classic country... it was a "WOW" moment when I heard Hank III for the first time!

He seems to be a lot smarter than his Pop as well.

19. There are good reasons why Han III loathes his dad.
And his mom. Much of it religious (mom) and political (dad).

5. The "Fox friends" acted as though they didn't understand the analogy.
Edited on Mon Oct-03-11 02:48 PM by JohnnyRingo
I didn't either. How the hell is Boehner and Obama like Hitler and Netanyahu playing golf? Why did he make it an Israeli/Palistinian comparison. For a wordsmith who writes songs for a living he sure seemed vague and disconnected, as though he had an image in his head that he wasn't able to convey coherently without using base terminology.

That said, the Fox News couch turnips know exactly where this kind of overblown hatred comes from and shouldn't be surprised when a fan uses Hitler in reference to the president.

He is where he is because of his daddy Hank Sr. By the way, the KKK, White Power movement and Neo-Nazi's love him.

8. His brain is damaged from too many drugs and alcohol......
.....or, he's just another redneck ignorant moron. I always liked the guy.....till now. He just alienates listeners and fans by making such bigotted statements. He'd do better to just stick to singing. I don't know why some celebrities think all of the sudden they are political geniuses. Without fans and listeners they are nobody and you can never satisfy all of them with political statements.

Note to Hank.....Sit down and shut the fuck up!

Also, now that his half-sister has filed for her share of Hank Sr.'s fortune, he's gonna be short a little cash. SHe just recently had the paternity verified by DNA tests.

33. When did comparing a president to Hitler,
getting a career because of who one is related to, or taking too many drugs disqualify anyone's opinion? If the guy was comparing Boehner to Hitler and Obama to Netanyahu (and it's not 100% clear he wasn't), would anyone have even brought that stuff up?
