Sometimes pasting doesn't work.

3. I'm seeing plenty of posts about it
Not only from the protest's official page, but also from various other media figures and friends. If Facebook is blocking, they aren't doing a very good job of it.

4. someone on youtube said that they couldn't post
occupyDC onto FB however it is now working (I tried it myself). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNogveB3ksg&feature=youtu.be

Sounds fishy anyway. Personally I gave up posting occupy wall street info or anything political because NONE of my friends or family are interested (and no, they are not rich). :(

I've run into that too. Frankly, I think many just don't give a F. Somehow, they don't see how this relates to them. I think what this means to me is the propaganda has been so successful in the US that many have built up unconscious barriers to change how they have been programmed. I find it most disheartening and amazing. They just plod on.

6. One of the graphics replicating around FB recently was from Plato:
"The price of apathy toward public affairs is to be ruled by evil men."

The more things change . . .

7. FB and Twitter are just corporate data collectors. Abandon them.
If you want to post about politics, do it at a political site like DU that won't censor your communications.

8. I can't recall the site now, but one of them aggregates together all of ones FB, Twitter,
Edited on Mon Oct-03-11 03:19 PM by RKP5637
Linkedin data, classmates.com and Myspace and +++ if they can. And it posts anything it can find all aggregated against ones name. I never cease to be amazed at the personal information people post online with all of their bibliography included right down to all of their kids data, etc.

PS: I think this is the one: http://pipl.com/

9. An RSS feed will also pickup anything posted by any given screenname. Google also does a decent
job of finding posts with associate topical content. You can GoogleAlerts or ZapTXT for alerts and tracking of topical words, company names, screen names, etc.

The web is designed to be a vast information trapping and monitoring device. Make it work for you and the Movement, instead of just the billionaire shits and the spooks.
