I'm shocked. Shocked I tell you! Tea Party Marriage Defender Busted For Soliciting Prostitute
ILLINOIS: Tea Party Marriage Defender Busted For Soliciting Prostitute

Last year when the news broke that Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-IL) had cheated on his wife, Chicago Tea Party president Steve Stevlic went on a Twitter-fueled crusade to denounce the congressman for destroying the sanctity of his marriage. You all KNOW what comes next, right?

TeaCon was supposed to be the culmination of all the work that Chicago Tea Party Director Stevan Stevlic put into building the party. But Stevlic, of Cicero, ended up skipping the event Saturday after news broke about his arrest for soliciting a prostitute more than a year ago. Stevan Stevlic, then 36, was arrested June 25, 2010, in the 1600 block of South Kilbourn for misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution, a police source confirmed to the Sun-Times Saturday. The arrest was first reported on the website Gawker, which said the charges were dropped after Stevlic agreed to participate in a rehab program.
Stevlic has now locked his Twitter feed so nobody can screencap all that moral outrage directed at Rep. Jackson.

2. DON'T think of it as irresponsible social behavior...
...think of it as "supporting the private sector economy".

5. A rehab program for soliciting? He's a hypocritical buttwad for sure, but a rehab program
for soliciting seems kind of off the wall.

6. Even funnier in Hungary. A "teabagger" politician had to resign when his porn career was revealed.
Zoltan Kabai, the head of a regional chapter of Hungary’s “right-wing populist” political party, Jobbik, has resigned his position with the party following the revelation that he also is Zoltan Cowboy, an adult performer whose career began in the early '90s.

One reason for the support may be that Kabai is not the first Jobbik member to have performed in porn… or the second. According to Business Insider, “It was revealed last year that a former party member, Vivian Katona (aka Honey Lovely), was also in the business of making adult movies. And, if that wasn't enough, Katona's resignation followed weeks after a member of the party's paramilitary wing, the Hungarian Guard, was also a porn actress. Nikolett Muller, who also resigned, had appeared in 150 adult films.”

Business Insider noted that the incident is embarrassing given the party’s stance as a bastion of Christian family values, but that claim rings hollow as well. Jobbik’s far right reactionary positions on nationalism, immigration, crime and, of course, Israel, without doubt trump any demands they make of their members to behave like true Christians. But you don’t have to travel to Hungary to find that level of political or sexual hypocrisy, now, do you?

Still, one does wonder if there is something about Hungarian culture that draws their former porn stars into the far right wing orbit, though who knows? Maybe here in the States we also have a number of porn stars who proudly carry the banner of the Posse Comitatus.

Jobbik, The Movement for a Better Hungary commonly known as Jobbik, is a Hungarian radical nationalist political party. The party describes itself as "a principled, conservative and radically patriotic Christian party", whose "fundamental purpose" was the protection of "Hungarian values and interests." Jobbik has been denoted by scholars, different press outlets and its political opponents as fascist, neo-fascist, anti-Semitic, anti-Roma and homophobic.
