DoD Contracts Out Work On New Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
unhappycamper note: Since the ‘Pentagon’ (DoD? Gannett?) has ‘requested’ that I only post one paragraph from articles on Army Times, and Airforce Times, To keep in that same (new) tradition, I will also do the same for for articles on Navy Times, Marine Corps Times, stripes.com and military.com.

To read the article in the military/Gannet's own words, you will need to click the link.

Read all about Fair Use here.

unhappycamper summary of this article: "The Vulture II project" is underway. One may question why we need to build an autonomous UAV that will stay up for five years. One (especially this one) may ask why are we contemplating flooding the skies with $160,000 Hellfire missiles.

This is just the latest known instance of the Department of Death and the Military Industrial Complex searching for new ways to spy on and kill people around the globe.

Personally, I would rather see those bucks go into jobs or libraries or infrastructure. Or anything useful.
