3. The winner of the contest gets to decide the theme. Sometimes he/she just

declares the theme, sometimes we suggest some and vote on them.

I like your idea, though it's not an easy subject and would require some thought and reflection. I will link this post to our forum.

In the meantime please go to the January contest about "Water". Vote for me early and especially often, and I will give your idea serious consideration should I win.

8. thinking of civilty and respect

this came to mind: the free health care clinic in NOLA this past summer. I would have loved to photograph some of the patients but I was too busy and I really wasn't supposed to anyways. EVERYONE was super awesome those few days!
