Bet there were a lot of Republicans(and some others) who freaked out during the last GOP debate
The Republicans weren't freaking out because they didn't agree with what was going on and what was being said. Because they agreed with every bit of it. They freaked out because they didn't want the American public at large to see and hear it for themselves and have their candidates true feelings exposed this early.

Not too long ago we had some well known celebrities who claim to be progressives suggesting that the Democratic left should team up with the baggers because they were only misunderstood and downtrodden folks just like us.

I am guessing the last debate has put an end to that fantasy.

Don

1. that's pretty much how I see it.
I always get annoyed when Kucinich thinks he can team up with that loon Ron Paul on anything; it's nice to be cheerful and friendly Dennis, but you gotta have standards, too. I also didn't like it when Howard Dean said he wanted to win the votes of the white guys with the Confederate flags on their pickup trucks.

Frankly, if we get Teabaggers to work with us or vote for our politicians, we are doing something wrong.

2. the baggers have always been with us
Authoritarian, racist, paranoid, selfish, short-sighted idiots.

But now, they have teamed up, unknowingly, with their puppet-masters, who hold them in utter contempt, to take over the Republican party.

It is not a pretty picture. I fear for the future.

3. I'm in complete agreement
The TEA Caucus of the Republican Party (notice I wrote 'Caucus' - because they need to be attached to the Republican Party 100% of the time) caters to the lowest common denominator in America.

4. I don't think they're ashamed of their position. I think they're proud.
Maybe "mainstream" Republicans (if there is such a thing anymore) are freaking out. I think the rest of them feel relieved - as if they've been given the go-ahead to openly hate others.

6. Anyone suggesting that Dems "team" up with ball lickers
is a libertarian in hiding or one of those "third way" neo-libs who hate confronting reality.
