Why did John Boehner refuse to fly to Tucson on Air Force One?
Surely he understood the importance of coming together after this terrible tragedy, when a member of his own House was gunned down?

Was he really so fearful of Limbaugh and the Tea Baggers that he was willing to sacrifice doing the right thing rather than have them criticize him for flying on the same plane as the President?

Have they so lost touch with reality?

Just days after a couple of Republicans chose to attend a fundraiser rather than to be sworn into office as the next Congressmen from their districts?

What was more important than the people in Tucson and the need of the American people to come together?

A political get together in Washington?

And this guy is a leader?

2. Your second paragraph nails it
The fundraiser was a diversion. It could have easily been rescheduled under the circumstances.

But the ration of shit he would have caught from the lunatic fringe of his party would never go away.

Boner is sort of skating on awful thin ice with the wackos as it is, what with his comments about raising the debt limits and a few other feeble attempts to inject reality into the equation. He can't afford to piss the kooks off anymore. He's probably gotten death threats already.

14. Bloody Boehner is as guilty as Palin

of having a death fetish

He made veiled death threats and references about another House member, campaigning for his opponent, saying the guy would be "a dead man" and "run out of town by the Catholics"

I think it was Driehaus maybe (sp)

His "victim" then got tons of death threats and confronted Boehner about it since the "victim" of Bloody Boehner's violent rhetoric has THREE SMALL CHILDREN!!!!

Oh, yeah. Bloody Boehner's all about the violence. No surpirse that he can't get along.

17. This really isn't a big deal. These things are planned months in advance.
Let's focus our energies on the real psycho scum (i.e. tea party, Palin, Beck and Rush).

21. It IS a big deal. It's another gross Republicon FAIL to support America
As Republicons often whine: they want America to fail.

By turning his back on this national memorial service so he could go suck up cocktails and payola, the Boehner and his cronies demonstrated how cesspoolian Republicon Family Pharisee Values really are. They would not put down their drinks & payola for one night to support America and Americans...
