I have decided
Edited on Sat Sep-10-11 08:39 AM by SmileyRose
President Obama is making nice with Boehner partly because they both want to drive a stake into the heart of Eric Cantor and all of teabaggerdom.

Edit to clarify

The fact is, Eric Cantor and the teabaggers are a road block to everyone in Washington. They will not deal, they will not play. They will not eat green eggs and ham. Both parties benefit from taking teabaggers down so everyone else can get back to the game of lining the pockets of their friends with the wealth created by our hard work.

While I agree the teabaggers must go - I'm absolutely disgusted with the crap going on all the way around in Washington. I never got behind the rah rah about Obama being progressive. I never thought so and he's doing the job I expected him to do.

Which is not what I'm looking for in DC representation.

2. Actually
I didn't say that I was happy about that fact.

And I am not.

3. That sounds to me like the stage of denial.

5. That is a whole new level of 'takes the cake' thinking....
And a good thing too, because what you are saying is that the Democratic President is working with the Republican Speaker to help fix and defend the Republican Party from Republicans. How can I say this strongly enough? That is not his job. He is paid to do a job, and that is not it.

7. Hey, good theory.
You could tell that Boner is not unhappy with it, and is 100% sure he should DO the Pres. program. I guess the only remaining question is how much they can do together. I liked the new tone of addressing Congress scoldingly. I've been waiting for that.
