Lesson to be learned: Hoffa did not apologize
and the criticism from the echo chamber is already dying down, as they are moving on to other shiny new objects. I bet you Hoffa's comments will be forgotten completely by early next week.

1. Yup
Somebody needs to point this to the WH and democratic leadership.

2. Bull's eye!
Stare them down and they will back away. James Hoffa did.

3. It is odd to me that our "leadership" didn't learn how to deal with bullies before
seeking elected office.

I had to fight them off about every single day until about halfway through middle school, especially Obama who is also biracial and older than me. I took it from both sides and pretty damn hard at that.

I don't get it, how could it be missed that you have to bust them in the head and never surrender even if beaten senseless.

4. Good. And you know what?
Do it again.
And again.
And again.
And again.
And again.

One thing I have learned in my life as a loud mouth Irishman with a sharp tongue and a keen wit is this.
If the first punch lands squarely and stuns your adversary?
Immediately hit him with three or four more of the same.
Maybe with a little extra mustard too...

He's got 'em on the ropes so throw another punch.
About freaking time someone did.

6. exactly
Many here are counseling a softer, more moderate approach, for fear of antagonizing the right wing. This is advocating nothing more than cowering before bullies. Standing up to bullies is what makes them back down, not caving in to them.

7. Fuck those thin-skinned Teabaggers. Hoffa handled it perfectly.
