Let me ask you to think about something.
I have some thoughts on this question but the several answers I come up with conflict with one another. If you have something to share on the subject please do, but I'd rather just listen. I want to ask this in light of areas of the country that have unemployment far above even the national average. Maybe this is just a stereotype, but think of a place like Flint Michigan. Its just devastated by unemployment, nothing is functioning. Let us say that becomes the national norm - and it surly will under continued Republican rule - and then the bottom falls utterly out and the economy actually collapses. There are no jobs what so ever, money is non-existant, all benefits have either been cut out of existence or have run out. For all practical purposes the economy has ceased to exist.

OK, what happens next?

As I've said, I have my thoughts. But what do you think?

1. The big die off.
It's happened before in human history, and happens all the time in biology with organisms that reproduce beyond the ability of their environment to support their populations.

3. Well, it horrifies me to consider it but wouldn't it almost have to end
with civil conflict? I'm not endorsing that, mind you, but it seems to me that in a situation like that people would fight over the scarce items, just trying to survive. I mean really, that's doomsday stuff because there is no good outcome.

7. That is one possibility, but I don't think its the inevitable one.
That is the one that my other ones come in conflict with. Some of the ways I see it working out don't involve violence at all, but start with individual rebuilding and restored community structure.

11. While in the Marines I saw nations like that firsthand
I never saw a peaceful one. And usually, as government control and services are either higher or lower in a country its level of violence is correspondingly lower or higher, respectfully. Worse, though, is when unemployment becomes ridiculous: people without jobs AND no support structure - especially when the unemployment is long-term - almost always resort to violence in the absence of other alternatives.

Thankfully I don't think we'll get that bad. But in almost every case of MASS unemployment with no structure or capacity to fix it you'll see a ton of violence.

5. What you suggest is so unlikely as to not merit serious consideration
No jobs what so ever isn't a possibility.

Money not existing isn't a possibility.

I would rather speculate on what might happen if aliens from outer space invade Earth on the same day that the Rapture occurs.

IMHO the likelihood of this is exactly the same as what you have proposed.

15. there is still money in Flint, there are still some jobs in Flint

What was proposed in the OP is not Flint being the norm, it was a total collapse of the economy.

No, I don't think there is any serious possibility of that.

10. People are going to do what they always do - they are going
to move in with friends/relatives, many will die on the streets, standard of living goes way down for many.

In 2012 they will vote out this president because he has done nothing for them, and then they will get one of the crackpot fundies.

I wish I could give you better news, but I don't see much hope on the horizon.

This is the scenario around 2012, which I have read on extensively, and yet I still don't feel as if I have all the necessary information.

I recently received David Wilcox's book The Source Field Investigations which is supposed to be the final authority on the issue. His book and slides are currently being hosted on the Huffington Post, and his website Divine Cosmos is one of my favorites.

So, to blow alot of minds, the history (learned from other books/places) is that all of our religious books, the bible, the Quaran torah, etc., were all taken from The Emerald Tablets, which are over 26,000 years old and were words for our civilization to live by etched on a tablet of indestructible emerald. If, I remember correctly, they were briefly housed in a museum in Italy around 500 AD, but their current location is unknown. Rumored to be housed in the pyramids of Egypt. It is unbelievable how our world has been lied to and manipulated by the PTB, and religion, etc., all for issues of control.

Bottom line, Jesus who was actually Thoth, and the Buddha, and Muhammad landed on this planet to begin the civilization. The story of Adam is really atom (splitting the atom), and the texts were taken from their scientific meanings translated by the early humans and of course taught to be taken literally, thus, completely distorting the science. Thoth (Jesus) was the builder of the Pyramid of Giza, and he left that pyramid and other info with the guards of the pyramids who eventually all became the kings and queens of ancient Egypt. So of course, it was easy for Jesus to visit all the countries on the planet and be called by other names, although they are the same person. The Mayan prophesies therefore are not really Mayan, but ET. If any of you are watching the History Channel's Ancient Aliens it is simply amazing all the evidence that was left behind to document that ET's in fact seeded this planet.

They knew the game, they also knew the outcome, as many universes and planets have gone through the same cyclical changes, every 26,500 years as the planets align. Pocal Voltan said that at this point in time humans would be so corrupted by materialistic greed that we would completely lose our sense of our innate nature. Its easy to see that has and is happening. At this 26,500 juncture, and up until 12/21/12, the planet is ascending into the 5th Dimension and the forces of "dark" (and the greedy, selfish, etc) will not be able to handle the "light" (the sun/son) and would cease to exist. It was said that while the earth is raising its consciousness and ascending into the 5th dimension, all of our corrupt systems would fall - the final battle between good and evil - which is very apparent to most of us - is the final test (which makes one see the desperation and obviousness of most of the R & T party) they seem to be playing for all the marbles at this point in time. I guess under the impression that they can somehow succeed and stop the ascension. Our financial system must collapse because it is so corrupt and unequal. And Obama is supposed to be a very old soul, ancient Egyptian priest, who has come to lead us through this period. He can't change the mess, or stop the end game, but he can land the plane safely. A new currency will be brought on line based on REAL value. We will live in a world of fairness, equality, and cooperation.

I've wanted to say this here for a long time but never had the nerve, but now, I feel everyone should know. Whether you accept this reality or not, that's up to you. There are many books and websites on the matter, some better than others, some legit, and some not. It's all quite fascinating, and somehow, not at all scary or frightening, but something for us to look forward to and embrace. Please check into it, and much more will become clear.
