It's too bad that there's such a lapse of time between when Republicans make the wrong choice and stuff blows up. It makes it difficult for their feeble-minded base to connect cause and effect and quit voting for them. If only everything was as simple as setting the rake down the wrong way and 5 minutes later, WHAM! rake handle right in the face.

I have to give Obama credit though, he's learned the karma of bipartisanship. Not a month after he compromises on offshore drilling, BLAM! goes the Deepwater Horizon. A smart man would have learned that when you walk with Republicans, there's an open manhole cover right in front of you.
