Levee Breached: Reports say that the Swanquarter Levee in Hyde County has been overtopped with major flooding ongoing

Fatality: A man is dead in Nashville, N.C. after a tree branch fell on him around 10:20 a.m. Saturday

West Carteret Water Corporation has asked all residents of Carteret County to begin conserving water now. Due to a power outage, they are unable to pump water until they can safely place generators at pumping station.
