Sprint reportedly to get iPhone in October

The Wall Street Journal reported that Sprint Nextel will get to start selling the iPhone in mid-October.

Sprint declined to comment Tuesday on the report.

But according to the newspaper, the wireless company will get to sell both the new iPhone 5 and the current model, the iPhone 4. The newspaper cites unnamed people familiar with the matter.

The newspaper says the availability on Overland Park-based Sprint will come at the same time the iPhone 5 is introduced at AT&T Inc. and Verizon Wireless.
