CNN Live report from Green Square: Reporter said they were told
by rebels to leave as there were rumors that Gaddafi may be back with a "surge". She didn't know of course (nor did anyone for sure) if there was any validity to that, but they were leaving. Rebels said if it was true, their (reporters) lives would be in danger.

ALSO -- There was a woman on CNN, kind of anchoring behind a desk, going back and forth to Wolf and she was pretty impressive. Seemed to have a grasp of what the situation is, asked the right questions, etc. She had a guy on from the CFR (yeah, I know) who was saying "they have to be careful because in 2003 we thought Hussein had retreated, but he came back after regrouping and took everyone by surprise and picked up the fight." The woman said "I don't understand why people think one country is the same as another -- it's like saying that Norway is the same as England and all the EU nations think/behave as one. They've got different heritages, histories, goals, lifestyles, etc, so observing one doesn't necessarily portend what will happen elsewhere." Made sense to me! :)

2. I fear this may be a trap for the rebels. Unsubstantiated reports of snipers firing upon the
celebrating crowds in Tripoli.

3. Could be, but it sounds as though they maybe have gotten an inkling
it might happen. I hope they're ready -- and stay safe. They know better than anyone not to trust Gaddafi. I wonder if the sniper fire is what made them think this might be a possibility. The woman from Libya who was leaving Green Square did mention that Tripoli wasn't 100% 'secured' or something like that.

4. I doubt it
It's hard to get people to fight in a hopeless battle.
