Kentucky REPUBLICAN candidate for governor OPPOSES Noah's Ark park
Edited on Sat Aug-20-11 07:54 PM by alp227
David Williams, the Republican who's challenging current Democratic governor Steve Beshear of Kentucky, commented about the Noah's Ark theme park in the state that's been supported by Gov. Beshear:

I don’t think there’s an economic feasibility study that indicates it will ever be feasible. And it doesn’t matter how much tax credit you give anybody, in order to get tax credits, you have to have the income in order to create it. And there’s never been a feasibility study I’ve ever seen, I don’t think there’s ever been one done. I think the governor is just playing politics with this.

LeoWeekly.com, via PZ Myers, who responded:

My brain would melt into a puddle that flowed out my ears if I lived in a country where the crazy social conservatives were the pro-science party, while the social progressives were all NewAgey dingleberries who promoted bad science. It sort of saves my sanity that the Republicans tend to be so unremittingly evil on all fronts that the sickly performance of the Democrats doesn’t cause me any major dilemmas. Just constant despair.

But this is the state that sent Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul to the Senate and...oh wait fried chicken didn't come from Kentucky didn't it?

1. And the Democrat is leading in most polls.
What does that tell you about what Kentucky wants?

3. I suspect this will help Williams lose.

Or, he'll back away from it quickly.

Yup, I'm in KY. People make jokes about the Creation Museum--and the churches and many church schools take busloads of people to it.

 :banghead:
