Perry as POTUS and his picks for Supreme Court Judges?
Oh my freaking heck! I cannot even imagine!

OTOH, Bachmann getting involved with picking Supreme Court Judges.

Really?

Ok, Lets imagine Mittens and his manipulation for the corporation of Supreme Court Judges.

Seriously...for all those that screech, "anyone but Obama", please, who? Who is in a position to avoid the Perry, Bachmann, Mittens handling the makeup of the Supreme Court Judges?

1. Well, since President Obama is apparently a Republican...
...I assume that Perry would nominate people like Sotomayor and Kagan...

3. If you are speculating, I'd say Romney should be the target of your speculation.
Because of Iowa "teh crazy" always seems strong at first but by South Carolina they're starting to advance a slightly more mainstream candidate.

10. Nah, too old. Republicans like to appoint them as young as possible.
Of the Justices that have served over the past 10 years, the average Republican was 50.7 years old and the average Democrat was 55.3. Only two Republicans were over age 55. Only one Democrat was under age 55.

Kagan 50 D
Sotomayor 55 D
Alito 56 R
Roberts 50 R
Breyer 56 D
Ginsberg 60 D
Thomas 43 R
Souter 51 R
Kennedy 52 R
Scalia 50 R

critical thinking will be outlawed and anyone caught thinking for themselves shall be brought in front of a Christian tribunal to determine their punishment,

all schools will become privately owned Christian schools and those caught practicing any other religion will be tried and sentenced according to new Christian Biblical Law administered by right wing Christian Scholars,

the new Christian flag will have the face of Christ upon it with 7 stars in his crown representing the 7 newly condensed Christian states,

the internet will be used for church purposes only for the average Christian with unlimited access to those in positions of power.........................

These are just some of the Bachmann/Perry type of changes that might be pushed through by the New Christian/Corporate State. Most of this is said with great *Sarcasm*, but much of it is a kind of right wing religious extremists wet dream. I do know, that a Bachmann or Perry Presidency would force this country back wards at a speed that would make one's head spin, 10 times faster then the speed of sound at which it is currently moving. It would I feel, be the final and complete destruction of Democracy in this country and the beginning of a new and uglier type of bigotry, hate, division and rule.

9. Thanks for the freak out!
I know in some sense it's hyperbolic, but it does draw attention to the direction they would swing the Supreme Court. Theocracy for all arms of government.

13. You're welcome, it was def a hyperbolic "freak out" to be sure, but hopefully it gave some room for ...
thought beyond the simply rational and into the Republican world of insanity and irrational. We are no longer dealing with reality based folks in the lunatic, fringe based, Republican Party.

11. Why are we the ones getting lectured about this?
Tell it to Obama.

If he is a true liberal, or at least a true Democrat, he should be the one getting lectured about how horrible it would be to have any of those Republican candidates select the next Supreme Court Justice. He should be the one changing his ways to ensure people support him and prevent such a thing from happening.

I, for one, am tired of the constant guilt trips for sticking by my principles.
