PHILADELPHIA - August 10, 2011 (WPVI) -- The District Attorney's office tonight approved some very serious charges against the three young men, two 15-year-olds and one 16-year-old, wanted in a 'flash mob' attack.
They have been charged with aggravated assault and criminal conspiracy, both felonies, as well as simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
Action News was in Spring Garden on Wednesday night as the three suspects were being transferred to the Youth Study Center to await their arraignment.
The young men have drawn the ire of Mayor Michael Nutter, District Attorney Seth Williams, and others for their alleged brutal assault that was captured on surveillance video.
