1. Yet as I understand it Rove helped get perry elected as governor.
Of course there's no love lost between Perry and the Bushes so I suppose ol' Karl has to keep G.W. happy.

2. The Fix is in
Perry is just there to pull votes form Bachman. The GOP knows if Bachman wins then they lose big in 2012. If Romney is the headliner act then they can hope to hold onto congress and maintain their edge in the Senate. (Even if Romney loses)

The game is to weaken Bachman enough so that the drop outs like Pawlenty will cede their supporters to the Wallstreet Republicans.
