President Obama responded to Texas Gov. Rick Perry's controversial remarks by saying, "I'll cut him some slack. He's only been at it a few days now," National Journal's Ethan Klapper reports.

Perry doesn't deserve any slack. As a matter of fact, President Obama has some catching up to do, because Perry has years and years of garbage. All he has to do is pick up Bachman as a VP candidate, sweeping up all her crazies in the process, and President Obama just got himself a formidable opponent. It's absolutely horrifying that I can even say this in the year 2011. What have we become? Don't cut him any slack whatsoever, Mr. President.
