Mayan leaders were often sacrificed.
So when they needed more sacrifice, their leaders were often sacrificed.

Just saying. You know, 2012 coming and maybe someone is asking for more sacrifice from the masses.

2. They cut their penis with knife during ceremonies.
Very painful sacrifice for the masses.

3. Actually they used a stingray spine
as a lancet to draw blood from the penis, and the tongue as well.

6. Pictures....... or its not real..... actually i'll wait to see
our leaders do it on TV.....

Yeah the stingray thing.....yikes.... I know.

I had a friend that worked on Mayan sites for the U of texas in the 80s.
I learned about the calendar thing back then.

So many new discoveries on pre Colombian history these days.

The discovery of Caral should open some eyes.
